The three panels show a 1986 test of a Tomahawk cruise missile. The missile traveled 640 km (400 mile) low over the terrain to detonate above the target, a decommissioned fighter plane. It’s pretty clear the test was a success.

The evolution of the warp drive effect from the Star Trek movies, from the spectacular neon streak photography of The Motion Picture through the rather less awesome animated trails of the later TOS movies to the feeble CG of Nemesis, where they couldn’t even be bothered to include the ‘warp stretch’ effect. And what’s with those smoke trails? Has the Enterprise got a cracked manifold? *sigh*

[HOW TO] Calibrate Desire Battery – xda-developers

The following steps should significantly extend the battery life on your phone.

1. Please connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green, indicating the device is fully charged.
2. Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off.
3. Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green.
4. Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
5. Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the notification LED is green.
6. Disconnect the phone, power it on, and use it.

You need to use this sequence only once.
