Equinox Clock

Bram Knaapen’s Arduino-powered “Equinox Clock” revisits the traditional clockface by doing away with hands in favor of LEDs.

Minimalist Clock is Minimalist!

minimalist clock

How minimalist the the Front & Back Clock? Well, for starters it has no face to speak of. Also, it uses its own batteries as hands. The only way this timepiece could be more minimalist is if it didn’t display time at all, but instead just hung there, silently judging you for buying a timepiece that didn’t keep time.

Kibardindesign – Black and White Clock

black and white clock

Digital clock: only figures, no case, only the necessary – only accurate time. Each figure has self-contained power supply and independent control, it can be fixed to any surface autonomously. A light sensor will switch the clock to an invert mode: the figures are white in the dark time of day and black at daytime.

I’ll take two. However; more concerning is this:

Status of project: searching for manufacturer.

Looks like I won’t be getting them anytime soon 🙁

Apple’s “Billion App” Countdown Clock, It’s Fake

App Countdown

Seems that the featured counter actually ties to no tangible data and is increasing numbers at a calculated pace.

According to the algorithm that Apple is using for the fake counter, the billionth App would be sold sometime on the 20th at 4:57am.

Yeah – I thought so.

In any case, who cares about the clock when the implementation iself is nothing short of brilliant? It uses a single image to generate all of the numbers – and that includes the “animation”, and all without [gay, ugly, slow, bloated, cpu-intensive, etc] flash!

Kudos, Apple!
